2018 Season
The Dodge City A's Organization would like to thank all of you who made our 2018 season possible and successful: To all of our players, coaches, sponsors, host families, and fans we say THANK YOU!!!
Your Dodge City A's finished the season with a 26-15 record overall, a 2nd place finish in the Jayhawk Collegiate Summer Baseball League, and a 2-1 record in Championship Week Pool Play at the NBC World Series!
Playing against the perennial NBC World Series powers, the Santa Barbara Foresters (6 Championships & 2 Runners-up) and the Seattle Studs (2 Championships & 4 Runners-up), we more than held our own. Defeating the Studs and falling to the Foresters in a historic NBC game (Most combined runs & hits), we ended in a 3 way tie atop our pool. The tie was broken by run differential and the A's were the team left out of advancing to the quarterfinals.
Again, we would like to say thank you to our players and coaches who fought hard all season long and took us back to the NBC World Series! Thank you to our sponsors for allowing us to give the gift of baseball to community of Dodge City! Thank you to our host families for opening your homes and giving our players a home away from home! Thank you to all of our fans for your loyal support and enthusiasm!
We look forward to another great year in 2019!
